Badugi

Draw poker, lowball hand ranking, goal is the lowest four-card hand with all different suits and no pairs. Best hand: A-2-3-4 rainbow (A234 different suits).

  • Structure: Typically triple draw (3 draws), blinds, fixed limit or spread limit.
  • Hand ranking: Compare by number of cards in the Badugi (4-card < 3-card < 2-card < 1-card). Among same count, compare highest card low-to-high (A best). Suits irrelevant beyond uniqueness.
  • Pairs/duplicates: Pairs or duplicate suits reduce your Badugi to 3-card, 2-card, etc.

Dramaha High (Draw / Omaha)

Combination of draw and Omaha. Players are dealt 5 hole cards, draw 1, and make the best 5-card high hand using exactly 2 from hand and 3 from board.

  • Deal: 5 hole cards, flop-bet, draw 1, turn-bet, river-bet.
  • Board use: Exactly 2 from your hand + 3 board cards (Omaha rule).
  • Showdown: High hand only, standard high rankings.

Dramaha 2-7 (Omaha / 2-7 Single Draw)

Same structure as Dramaha, but the showdown is 2-7 lowball (deuce-to-seven). Straights and flushes count against you; aces are high.

  • Deal/draw: 5 hole, flop-bet, draw 1, turn-bet, river-bet.
  • Board use: Omaha rule: use exactly 2 hole + 3 board to form your 5-card low.
  • Best low: 7-5-4-3-2 (no flush/straight). Aces high.

DramaDugi (Omaha / Badugi)

Dramaha plus Badugi. Typically split-pot: half to Omaha high (or 2-7, house choice) and half to best Badugi.

  • Deal/draw: 5 hole, flop-bet, draw 1, turn-bet, river-bet.
  • Split: High/Omaha side and Badugi side.
  • Badugi side: Best 4-card rainbow no-pair set using any 4 from hand after draw (no board for Badugi).

Badacey (A-5)

Split-pot draw: half to best Badugi, half to A-5 low (ace-to-five). Straights/flushes ignored for A-5; aces are low.

  • Structure: Triple draw, blinds, limit/spread.
  • Split: 50% Badugi, 50% A-5 low (best: A-2-3-4-5).
  • Note: Cards used are your final 5; for Badugi scoring, only suit uniqueness and no pairs matter.

Badeucy (2-7) - Aces are High

Split-pot draw: half to Best Badugi, half to 2-7 low (deuce-to-seven). Straights/flushes count against you; aces are high.

  • Structure: Triple draw, blinds, limit/spread.
  • Split: 50% Badugi, 50% 2-7 low (best: 7-5-4-3-2).
  • Tip: Balance between suit uniqueness for Badugi and avoiding straights/flushes for 2-7.

Stud Hi/Lo (Regular- No qualifier)

Seven-card stud split between high and low (often 8-or-better qualifier, confirm house rule). Upcards and downcards over multiple betting rounds.

  • Deal: 2 down, 1 up (3rd street), then upcards to 7th street with final down card.
  • Low: If using 8-or-better, low must be 8-high or better (Aces low). Straights/flushes ignored for low.
  • Split: High hand and qualifying low split the pot; scoops possible.

A-5 Triple Draw

Five-card draw lowball using Ace-to-Five rankings. Straights and flushes do not count against you; aces are low.

  • Structure: Triple draw with betting between draws.
  • Best low: A-2-3-4-5 (wheel). Next: A-2-3-4-6, etc.
  • Note: Pairs hurt the strength but do not break the low like 2-7.

2-7 Razz

Razz-style stud variant scored with deuce-to-seven lowball. Straights and flushes count against you; aces are high.

  • Deal: Stud format: 2 down, 1 up to start; betting each street through 7th.
  • Best low: 7-5-4-3-2 (no straight/flush; Aces high).
  • Showdown: Lowest 5-card deuce-to-seven hand wins.

  • Qualifier: High Hand Qualifier: You must have a pair of 6s or better (a pair of 6s, 7s, 8s, etc., up to aces) to win the high half of the pot.
  • Note: Low Hand Qualifier: You must have a hand of an 8 or lower, with no pair (e.g., A-2-3-4-5 is the best low hand), to win the low half of the pot. Straights and flushes do not count against a low hand.
